The Assessor's office is responsible for discovering, listing, and valuing all taxable property (both real and personal) within the county.  In addition, our office prepares the tax roll, transfers ownership of property, prepares the abstract of assessment and certifies values to all levying bodies in the county.

IMPORTANT DATES

 
  • On or before March 1st - Natural Resources declarations must be returnedto the Assessor's Office
  • On or before April 15th - Personal Property and Oil and Gas declaration must be returned to the Assessor's Office
  • May 1st - Notice of Valuation (NOV) Real Property are mailed to taxpayers
  • May 1st-June 1st - Taxpayers may question Real Property valuations to the Assessor
  • June 1st - NOVs for Personal Property, Oil and Gas, and Natural Resources are mailed to taxpayers
  • June 15th-July 5th - Taxpayers may question Personal Property, Oil and Gas, and Natural Resources valuations to the Assessor
  • On or Before July 15th - Taxpayer appeals to the County Board of Equalization the Assessor's value on Real Property
  • On or before July 15th - Senior Citizen Exemption Application must be submitted to the Assessor
  • On or before July 20th - Taxpayer appeals to the County Board of Equalization the assessor's value of Personal Property, Oil and Gas, and Natural Resources
